Registration First Steps - Doctor Connect

Now is a great time to start the registration process, while we work on matching you with the right job.

You do not need to have a job offer to begin this process.

Step 1. Apply to ECFMG-EPIC for primary source verification of your medical qualifications.

Objective: Verify Medical Credentials and receive EPIC number for the Australian Medical Council (AMC)

Go to: Special Instructions for Physicians Applying to Practice in Australia

Timeframe: For EPIC 5 Business days

Create an EPIC account
Complete EPIC ID Form (IEF) online
Download completed the form to certify or use ‘NotaryCam’ to certify online
Upload credentials to build portfolio (Requires primary medical degree, Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), Internship and Postgraduate Specialist Medical Qualification)
Most importantly, nominate the AMC to have access to your credentials on the portfolio
Make payment
Use ‘My Reports’ tab to select qualifications to be verified

Required before you start:

Full-colour passport photo
Scanned copy of biodata page of passport
Medical Education – medical school ID number (if applicable), attendance, degree issue dates
Medical Licensure information (if applicable) including any ID numbers
EICS / ECFMG number (if applicable)

Step 2: Australian Medical Council

Create an AMC Portfolio. The AMC will then request your ECFMG results on your behalf and list them in your portfolio.

Objective: Primary source verification of medical credentials

Timeframe: For AMC 5 Business days
