At this point, you will receive your agreement and invoice for the training program. When you have paid the $11,900 invoice, and signed the contract, then you no longer need to worry about the 12-month validity of your Part A.
This is a cascading workflow, so we await the completion of each step before lodging the next. Generally, doctors plan to arrive about a week before the expected end of the Medicare Provider Number Application Process. This allows them to spend 1 – 2 weeks settling in. There will be orientation, connecting with RACGP and their supervisor, meeting colleagues, learning the IT system, shadowing, and getting ready.
